A Mysterious Nature: Exploring Unseen Forces and Intangible Connections
"A Mysterious Nature explores an alchemy—the unseen forces, transformations, and intangible connections that define both the natural world and our place within it," explained Katherine Filice, Artist and founder of Artfully Branded Curatorial. "As the artists in this exhibition, we aren’t just depicting nature; we are channeling it. Through paint, paper, and mixed media, our hands act as both witness and medium, tracing the hidden rhythms of the earth. The installation brings these interpretations together, forming a visual map of a world in flux—where nature is at once ancient and new, familiar and unknowable.”
Featured Artists:
Helen Bellaver (helenbellaverart.com) is a San Jose, California-based painter working in water-based media on paper and canvas. Her process is intuitive and layered, allowing color and shape to evolve organically. Her work is included in collections at the Triton Museum, Nexter Therapeutics Corporation, and TelCruz Technology, and she has exhibited widely at institutions such as Stanford University and the San Francisco Arts Commission. Bellaver’s practice embraces abstraction and fluidity, inviting the viewer into a world of shifting forms and quiet depth.
Arminée Chahbazian (arminee.com) has been a practicing visual artist for over 40 years. She holds an MFA from Yale University and a BA from Scripps College, with additional studies at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. Her work has been exhibited across the United States, France, and Holland, with recent shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Chahbazian’s practice merges abstraction with environmental themes, particularly the fluidity and impermanence of water. Through material experimentation, she explores how landscapes shift over time, capturing both the fragility and resilience of nature.
Katherine Filice (katfilice.com) is an award-winning, globally exhibited artist whose practice is deeply rooted in drawing and mark-making. Her intricate, meditative works explore spirituality, interconnectedness, and the unseen forces that shape our world. Drawing inspiration from Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), Filice engages in a dialogue with nature—both observing and collaborating with it. Through a multimedia approach incorporating ink, sculpted paper, mica, and found natural elements, her work blurs the boundaries between the physical and the ephemeral, reflecting nature’s imprint on the human experience.
