The Secret Language of the Forest (as written by the jewel beetle)

This artwork (a scroll of sorts), represents a significant milestone in my artistic journey. It is a monumental piece, spanning a width of 88 feet (26.8 meters) and comprising 19 intricately crafted passages. The creation of this work required a dedicated commitment of nearly six months. Through this expansive work, my intention was to articulate my deep reverence for the forestal environment, in particular the centuries-old trees, and moreover the vast expanse of the Universe. The work stands as a tribute, offering a transcendent gateway to a realm beyond our current understanding—intricately interwoven within an unfathomable network.

After completing this ambitious project, the artwork was positioned in two distinct settings: firstly deep into the woods in Northern California, (USA), and secondly a formal gallery installation at M.David & Co in NY, as part of the Yellow Chair Salon “Summer Invitational”.

One aspect that profoundly impacted me within the final forest installation was the captivating interplay of light and shadows cast through the towering trees. It bestowed a sublime and ethereal quality upon the artwork, unveiling unexpected moments of beauty. The passages themselves echo the intricate patterns, historical narratives, and treasured memories ingrained within these woods—my cherished trees—whispering their profound tales. The ancient 200-foot trees lent their historic voices in a harmonious exchange.

Simultaneously, as I unveiled the installation within the gallery setting, I gained a profound appreciation for the artwork's ability to evolve and respond to its environment, much like the ever-changing nature of humanity. It exists as a distinct entity, evoking a sense of enchantment, transformation, and spiritual resonance. Its boundless possibilities transcend the confines of my own imagination.
